Shipping

Where do you ship to?

We currently ship to the following countries:

Australia, Canada, Spain, Hong Kong SAR, New Zealand, Singapore, United States, Czechia.

If you do not see your Country listed above, please contact me so that I can look into the possibility of shipping to your country. There are a few countries where this will not be possible, however I will confirm on a case-by-case basis.

How long does shipping take?

Shipping times will vary between carriers, and the shipping options you select.

For our Australian Customers, we ship through Sendle and Australia Post - both Standard and Express.

For our International customers, we ship through Australia Post.

How do I track my order?

Once your order has been processed and is ready for shipping, you will receive a Completed Order email from us which will include a tracking number and/or link. If you cannot find this, please reach out and I will reissue the tracking link to you.

What kind of packaging do you use to ensure safe delivery?

Each of our jewellery and bookend pieces are carefully packaged to ensure they arrive to you safely and unbroken.

I use home-compostible packing peanuts, mailers and wraps.

Some of your items may come with inflated air-bags. These are recycled from packages that I have received (not newly purchased air-bags), so as to keep them in use as long as possible.

Please consider re-using any packaging you receive from me for your own purposes.

Order Processing

How long before you ship my order?

Ready-Made Designs
Please allow up to 7 days from when you placed your order for your items to be shipped.

Pre-Order Designs
If the item you have ordered is listed as a Pre-Order, the specific details of timing will be on each listing.

How do Pre-Orders work?

Pre-Orders are typically open for approx. 4-5 days at each Collection release.

Some designs are Limited Edition, while others are open ended until the pre-order period has completed.

I allow 6-8 weeks for Pre-Order designs to be made before shipping once the Pre-Order period closes.

I want to make a second order, how can I combine shipping?

If you have an existing order that has not yet been shipped, you can place subsequent orders using the code COMBOSHIP at checkout to save on shipping. Please ensure you include your existing open order number in the Checkout notes for this to apply.

Returns

How do I return an item?

Returns are accepted for up to 30 days of the delivery date.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

To start a return, you can contact us at orders@fictionalalchemy.com.au. Please note that returns will need to be sent to the Fictional Alchemy HQ.

If your return is accepted, we’ll send you a return shipping label, as well as instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

Can I make exchanges?

Exchanges are acceptable up to 30 days from date of delivery.

Designs

Do you create custom OOAK designs?

At the present time, I am not open to custom design commissions.

I do, on occasion, create OOAK designs, however these are rare at present.

I will update this answer should commissions re-open.

Are any of your designs Limited Edition?

We absolutely do have some Limited Edition pieces.

Each of our Bookend designs are Limited Edition. They are always an open-ended pre-order, and then limited to the number sold by the end of that pre-order period, be it 5, 10 or 20!

We occasionally release Limited Edition brooches. These have been rare in the past, however through 2024 there may be some designs in each Collection released.

Will you make more of a specific Bookend Design?

Each of our Bookend designs are Limited Edition. They are always an open-ended pre-order, and then limited to the number sold by the end of that pre-order period, be it 5, 10 or 20!

Due to this, I do not make extras of the quantity ordered during the Pre-Order period.

Can I pre-order designs to pick up at an event?

Absolutely. If there are Official event items, these will always have the option to pick up at the event.

For other designs listed here, please contact me ahead of time so I can provide you with an Event Pickup code to use at checkout.
